CAPT Katherine Jacobitz

CAPT Katherine Jacobitz is an Engineer Officer with the U.S. Public Health Service assigned to the Food and Drug Administration ORA Office of Pharmaceutical Quality Operations Division IV.   She is currently the Director of the Investigations Branch for her Division.  She holds Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Bioengineering from the University of CA, San Diego. Her Division is responsible for the conduct of pharmaceutical inspections and investigations in AK, AZ, CA, CO, ID, HI, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY,  American Samoa and Guam.  CAPT Jacobitz has 20 years’ experience with both the FDA and USPHS.   She has held the positions of Investigator, Supervisory Investigator, Preapproval Manager, GDUFA Supervisory Investigator, and Director Investigations Branch for the FDA.  Her professional mandate to her staff is to never accept mediocrity and to make a difference in the work they do.
