Gary Deeb is Senior Vice President of Lupin Inc.  Lupin is headquartered in Mumbai, India and is currently the 3rd largest India based pharma company in India.  Lupin’s research business model is diversified across generic formulations, complex injectables, biosimilars, respiratory inhalation and novel NCE research and discovery.  Mr. Deeb joined Lupin in 2013 and is currently the Head of Global Licensing & Business Development with the responsibility for leading the strategy and worldwide partnering for Lupin’s proprietary research portfolio.

In a career spanning over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Deeb has held a broad range of senior management positions encompassing business development, licensing, strategic planning, portfolio management, marketing, alliance management, managed markets, corporate communication, government affairs, and field force management.

In 2006 Mr. Deeb joined Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. as Senior Vice President of Global Licensing & Business Development. He was responsible for the novel NCE and biologics portfolio with respect to licensing, partnering collaborations, strategic alliances, and joint ventures.

Prior to Glenmark, Mr. Deeb spent seven years as the Head of Business Development & Planning for the US subsidiary of Daiichi Pharmaceutical Corporation. He was responsible for US licensing, pipeline portfolio, product life-cycle management and corporate affairs.  Mr. Deeb started in the industry with Berlex Laboratories, Inc., (now Bayer.)  During the course of his fourteen years he held several sales and senior marketing positions.

Mr. Deeb received a Masters of Business Administration in Economics and Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University.  He is a Certified Licensing Professional and is a member of the Licensing Executive Society and Business Development Academy.  He is a member of the Lupin Executive Management Committee and currently sits on the board of several community organizations.
