Biosimilars Canada

Jody is Vice President of Biosimilars Canada, the biosimilar medicines division of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (CGPA), where she is focused on ensuring timely access to biosimilar medicines and the implementation of policies to maximize their use.

She is also Vice President, Federal and International Affairs with the CGPA and has led the Association’s federal, legal, intellectual property and international trade files for the past 13 years. This has included the coordination of several successful interventions in pharmaceutical patent matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Jody has been an active member of the International Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association (IGBA) for more than a decade, and has served as Chair of the IGBA International Trade and Intellectual Property Committee since January 2020. She also participates in the IGBA Biosimilars Committee and the IGBA Management Committee, and is a Member of the IGBA Global Biosimilars Week Task Force.

Jody has more than two decades of experience in public affairs and advocacy, primarily in the pharmaceutical and real estate sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism (High Honours) degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
