Kristi Muldoon Jacobs

Kristi Muldoon Jacobs is the USP Director of regulatory science and compendial affairs. She joined USP in 2017 after a career of more than 10 years at FDA where she conducted and supervised pre-clinical safety and risk assessments for FDA products including impurities, food additives, packaging materials, and dietary supplements. She earned her Ph.D in molecular biology and biomedical sciences from Rutgers University in New Jersey then moved onto the National Cancer Institute, NIH where she investigated mechanisms of carcinogenicity.

Kristi is a recognized international expert in genetic toxicity, application of in silico methods to risk assessment and application of the Threshold of Toxicological Concern. She participates as an expert at several international working groups on these and related topics at WHO, ICH, and OECD. She has currently published over 30 peer-reviewed publications.
